Daniel Pearl World Music Days is an international network ofconcerts to in memory of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl who was murdered by terrorists in Pakistan in 2002. Since its inception in 2002, more than 6,734 events in 111 countries have been dedicated to the World Music Days theme of “Harmony for Humanity.”
This celebration of Daniel Pearl World Music Days is a collaboration between the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance UL, the Embassy of the United States in Ireland and the schoolchildren of Moneygall/Dunkerrin Parish. This concert at the Irish World Academy UL, featuring four American students of the Academy’s MA Irish Traditional Music Performance: Dominique Dodge (harp) Joanna Hyde (fiddle), Colin Botts (bouzouki) and Alec Brown (cello). Admission is free and all are welcome.
