Directions to the Academy on campus:
The University of Limerick is located 5km outside of Limerick city centre and is clearly sign posted from all major approach roads to the city. The Irish World Academy of Music and Dance is situated on the Co. Clare side of the banks of the Shannon within the University of Limerick campus.
On entrance to the campus at the main gates (which features the two high flagpoles and the checkerboard sculpture), follow the road until the first rounadabout. At this roundabout, take the left turn and follow the road, travelling between the fountains, until you reach the next roundabout. At this roundabout, continue straight ahead. You will pass the Dromroe Student Village (on your right) before driving over the road bridge across the River Shannon. Follow the road around to the right and you will see the Irish World Academy approaching on the right hand side. The Academy is clearly recognised by its Tower Theatre which rises in gold from the top of the building.
When you reach the Academy building, carry on driving, following the road around to the left until you see the public carpark (on the left). Other parking can be found at the Foundation Building / University Concert Hall on the Limerick side of the Shannon, from where you can walk across the magnificent Living Bridge to the Academy.
