Ursula Robb (Contemporary Dance)

Born and raised in New Zealand, Ursula trained at the New Zealand School of Dance, and before travelling to Europe in 1995, danced with the ‘Royal New Zealand Ballet’ and the ‘Douglas Wright Dance Company’. Whilst in Europe, Ursula spent a decade dancing and touring with acclaimed companies: Ultima Vez’(Wim Vandekeybus), ‘Rosas’ (Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker) and ‘Zoo’ (Thomas Hauert). Since 2005, Ursula has been focusing predominantly on teaching and rehearsal directing; tutoring at performing arts institutions including PARTS (Belgium), the NZSD (New Zealand), and DNSPA (Denmark). Ursula has also worked as a rehearsal director for Rosas, Opera de Paris, and Opera de Lyon. Now residing in Ireland, Ursula has recently completed a Masters in Cultural Policy and Arts Management at UCD (2017).


Lucy Dawson (Choreography for Camera)

Lucy Dawson is a dance artist, film maker & teacher based in Limerick, Ireland. After completing the MA Contemporary Dance at Irish World Academy, she continues to teach here, with subjects including video recording and editing skills, improvisation, choreography skills and yoga. Lucy combines her movement and improvisation practice with videography and photography, specializing in performance documentation, artistic promotion, choreography for camera and improvised performance.  Previous contemporary dance training also includes, The Scottish School of Contemporary Dance, Dundee and The Northern School of Contemporary Dance, Leeds. Previous projects range from dance works to site-specific projects, plays, music videos, adverts, musicals, and films.

Rebeca Mateos Morante (Danza Española)

Rebeca Mateos Morante is a Danza Española dancer, choreographer and researcher who is completing a PhD at the IWAMD where she lectures and tutors in ethnochoreology, flamenco, danza española and ballet. A philosophy graduate with a first class honours Masters in Psychoanalysis & Cultural Studies, she trained at the renowned Centro Coreográfico Mariemma in Madrid. She toured extensively with the critically acclaimed Compañía Elvira Andrés and as flamenco soloist with Riverdance. She has performed in many other prestigious choreographies, including one of the last productions of the famous Bodas de Sangre to be overseen by its celebrated choreographer Antonio Gades.

Rachel Sheil (Hip Hop)

Rachel Sheil has a first class honours BA and MA from the Irish World Academy and has been training in Contemporary Dance and Hip-Hop for the last 10 years. She is currently the Associate Artist for Dance Limerick and is the Artist Director of Limerick Youth Dance Company. Rachel has been teaching Hip-Hop in the Irish World Academy for over 4 years and has produced a variety of performances in many Hip-Hop styles. Her classes push students to learn Hip-Hop foundations and movement qualities with a focus on musicality.

Patricia Crosbie

Born in Cork, Patricia Crosbie was a member of Irish National Ballet (Irl), London Ballet Theatre (UK) and Vienna Festival Ballet (UK). She toured worldwide with the renowned rock band, The Kinks, choreographing and performing in their concerts.

Patricia Crosbie is Ballet Mistress with Cork City Ballet for whom she choreographs many ballets including The Playboy of the Western World. She has conducted workshops and Masterclasses for Dance Ireland, Dance Limerick, INYB and Cork Youth Ballet. Patricia was Associate Artist for Dance Ireland in 2015/2016. She was awarded her MA in Dance from UL in 2011 and has been teaching ballet at IWAMD for 8 years.
