Lunchtime Performance- Dan Trueman, Linda Buckley and Kate Ellis

Three leading Irish and international composers, performers and improvisers, Dan Trueman, Linda Buckley and Kate Ellis present a concert of new music on cello, fiddle, voice and electronics. The concert features performances of compositions by Dan, Linda and other Irish composers.
Dan Trueman is an American composer and fiddler. He collaborates frequently with a wide range of ensembles, musicians and artists, including So Percussion, Iarla Ó Lionáird, Gallicantus, choreographer Rebecca Lazier and scientist Naomi Leonard. Linda Buckley’s music has been described as “exquisite” (Gramophone) and “strange and beautiful” (Boston Globe). Her work has been performed by the BBC Symphony Orchestra, Dresden Sinfoniker Orchestra and at international festivals including Bang on a Can at MassMoCA and Seoul International Computer Music Festival. Experiments and Yurodny, Kate collaborates with a wide range of artists and has commissioned new music from many Irish composers, including Niall Vallely and Donnacha Dennehy.
