PhD Arts Practice Performance: Russell Patrick Brown

Russell’s second PhD performance, “Sabotage”, follows Icarus
through the afterworld as he meets spirits killed by 18th century
fashions. Using Irish step, Vogue and Romani dance history and
traditions, this hour-long performance excavates dance’s more
violent past and its enduring impact on our bodies in the present.
