The Irish World Academy of Music and Dance will host the Limerick launch of Óscar Mascareñas’ new album Songs for Jackson Pollock. The album was devised, composed, performed, recorded and mixed by Dr Óscar Mascareñas as a response to an exhibition of late works by American abstract artist Jackson Pollock at the Tate Liverpool. The album was mastered by Christoph Stickel from CSMastering, Munich, Germany, and cut, pressed and printed by Crystal Media, Ltd., from Dublin for EROS Music. Songs for Jackson Pollock has been launched in Dublin and Mexico, and broadcast on RTÉ Lyric FM in Ireland, and Radio Nuevo León in Mexico. The album will continue to be disseminated through gallery installations/performances nationally and internationally.
