SUNSET CONCERT SERIES – Steo Wall

October 3, 2019 at 5:30 pm

A new initiative from MA Songwriting introduces the Sunset Concert Series, where visiting songwriters perform a 45 minutes live set in the Tower Theatre, starting at 5:30pm. These select performers will have spent the day with our Songwriting students and end the visit with a live set.

Admission is free and all are welcome.

Steo Wall is a singer songwriter from Dublin now living county Clare. In June 2018 he launched his debut album, “Where I’m From”, at the Doolin folk festival. The album sees Steo collaborating with Irish folk legends Damian Dempsey, Luka Bloom and Davy Spillane. And in 2019, Steo was asked back to play a headline slot at the Doolin Folk festival’s main stage. “Where I’m From” is a mix of spoken word and folk inspired melodies all woven to an acoustic groove. Having received national air play and spending two weeks on Radio1 recommended playlist, “Where I’m From” has been very well received. Steo was asked to perform at the Inaugural RTÉ Radio1 Folk Awards in Vicar Street last year, and was also asked to sing “Rainy Night in Soho” by The Pouges as part of Ireland’s Favourite Folk song over the summer. Steo has been busy touring “Where I’m From” all over Ireland in 2019.
